She sighed, clapping unwillingly, as if she was watching a bad comedy show. There were a lot of things she hated in life, but the back-to-school moment of autumn had to be in her top five of most annoying things in the world. No more wearing her pair of daisy dukes and a bikini top. No more sipping mojitos and winking at hot lifeguards who barely spoke English. No more relaxing on the white sand, working on that perfect latte tan, while catching up on social networking on her fancy diamond cover phone and shuffling through a fashion magazine to figure out what she should buy next. Basically, everything that was worth while, important and fun was over. Enter the dullness of classrooms, the lameness of about 90% of other students and the endless violin lessons that would keep her dad checking on her weekend plans every freaking day. ARGH.

"I want to, like, die already." Aurelie mumbled to another picture perfect blonde sitting next to her, who nodded in exaggerated sympathy.

"I know right? Does the uniform make me look fat, Aurelie?"

The queen bee smiled wittily and peeked over to her when the opening ceremony was officially finished. "Totally. Everyone can see you took your fat butt to Italy last summer and ate pizza all the freaking time."

Her friend pouted her lips and poked Aurelie in the ribs, causing them to giggle as they made their way out the ceremony hall. Ah, St Elois private school and its dull gray hallways, filled with people who were mostly meaningless to her. This wasn't where she was supposed to be, sometimes she really felt like that. Sometimes she felt like she should have been born as a lingerie model, who had the most perfect movie actor husband and a closet full of expensive shoes and dresses. As she was picturing her dream husband, a girl bumped into her, immediately apologizing in horror and running off as quickly as possible.

"Oh my god. I'm going to punish that girl." Aurelie spoke with a frighteningly calm voice. "I can't stand people in this loser school."

"It's okay babe! Let's go to homeroom and meet the rest of the actual cool people here." Her friend comforted her. "Don't bother with these peasants!"

Aurelie rolled her eyes but headed to class anyway, keeping in mind the dull appearance of the mousy girl who had stumbled into her like an idiot not knowing to make way to the queen.
